This was my first time photographing dancers and obviously, now I am obsessed. Because of my background in architecture, my mind focuses on the composition of the object and space as I take photos as if I am trying to create an architectural space. When it comes to dance photography this relationship between the body and the space around it becomes even more important. When I was editing these photos I realized how obsessed I...

This photo shoot was an impulsive decision. We decided to hit the road on a Saturday and visit the Joshua Tree National Park. I love photography under natural light and in nature, especially in the desert, where there is so much peace and quiet. We parked on the roadside and walked away from the main road where we were only surrounded by sand, dust, and the desert.

Make sure to leave a comment and let me know what you think ab...

This photo shoot was so much fun. I feel like this is my starting line for all my photo shoot blogs, but it is the truth.

This is Jen, she has recently moved to Long Beach and does modeling. Photo shoot with a model can be quite adventurous since they take your posing directions to a new level and their approach is very different than others.

As I go to different spots in the city I always find locations that I want to do a phot...

Last weekend photo shoot was quite different and so much fun.

My sister, Narges, who is an artist, was asked to paint two utility boxes in Pasadena with her original design. She asked me to take photos of her work process and the final design of the boxes.

Two weeks ago I did the first photo shoot while the work was still in progress and last week I went there again for the final shots.

Yes, I am biased, but I think her work is g...

This photo shoot started with a little surprise. A few weeks ago I got an email from, Dom, asking to book a session for a family photo shoot with Mike, her husband, and their little cute daughter Anela I had no idea how she found me, I assumed through Yelp or my website. Later that week I found out she knows one of my other clients and also my co-worker. At our photo shoot, we started talking about where we are from and where...

This photo shoot with Ashley has been one of my most favorite shoots. Ashley is an actress and we were planning to get some fun photos. I love the architecture and the buildings in downtown LA so we set up our shoot to be there.

We went out for our photo shoot on Saturday morning. We started at the Dorothy and Chandler Pavilion and then walk around in the nearby streets in Downtown.
Taking photos of an actress who is already mo...

Megan is a  lighting designer, so when she told me that they want to shoot their engagement photos at LACMA light poles I was not surprised. After she contacted me we set up a time to meet at a local coffee shop. The three of us talked for an hour, we laughed and we had so much fun. They are one of the sweetest couple I have ever met, their love and energy  when you are around them make you smile, you can't control it. You jus...

Last week I want to Sanaz's house to take photos of the pastries she was making. She was cooking different type of pastries for an upcoming event and she wanted me to take photos of them before she delivers them to the event. So I have to take photos while she was in the rush working and preparing the pastries. When I walked into the kitchen I was extremely excited and a little shocked. There was flour everywhere, kitchen supp...

This photo shoot was extra special for me because I was taking photos of my sister. She just needed some headshots and fun photos.

We went out into the alleys of Long Beach to find the spot we liked under the shade. I always feel like taking photos of friends and families can be even harder than someone who hires you, because they are not shy to bring it up if you make a mistake. Also if it is someone you don't know it is over...

Last weekend, I went to shoot Jen and Grant's wedding as the second photographer. RJ from TypeIn/TypeOut photography was the lead photographer who got me this job.

We started the day at a beautiful house in Santa Monica, where the bride and groom and their bridal party were getting ready. They had 18 people in their party. The wedding day is always filled with excitement and when you have these many people in the bridal party i...
